Alistair Croll

Alistair Croll is an analyst at research firm Bitcurrent, where he covers emerging web technologies, networking, and online applications; and a principal at startup accelerator Rednod, where he advises companies on product and marketing strategy. Prior to working at Bitcurrent, Alistair cofounded Coradiant, a leader in online user monitoring, as well as  the research firm Networkshop. He has held product management positions with 3Com Corporation, Primary Access, and Eicon Technology.
 
Alistair contributes to industry events such as Interop (where he runs the Cloud Computing and SaaS tracks), Structure, Mesh, Velocity, eMetrics, Enterprise 2.0, and Web2Expo, and founded the Bitnorth conference. He writes for a variety of blogs and is the author of numerous articles on Internet performance, security, cloud computing, and web technologies. He is also a board member of Visible Government.
 
Alistair is the coauthor of Complete Web Monitoring (O’Reilly Publishing) and Managing Bandwidth: Deploying QOS in Enterprise Applications (Prentice-Hall).
